Week 68: Martin's Room

Hello Brethren,

First of all, I can assure you that the subject line is not a typo, but more on that later. This week was okay, it was full of ups and downs. We had an exchange with the Spanish elders on Wednesday which was cool, I went with Elder Grayson and we contacted a bunch of Spanish speakers so I just had to sit there and not break anything.

We did quite a bit of service including moving someone and cleaning the temple again with the Elders from Milliken. I love being able to clean the temple, it really is a huge blessing.

We had a meeting with President McMurray on Thursday and said goodbye to him and stuff which was sad. Elder Fazar was with us on Thursday and we took him to the mission home Friday and that was a treat being able to spend some time with him. You long time followers will remember our horrendous exchange full of sickness and heavy objects from way back in the Greeley days.

This morning we had a meeting with President Palmer our new mission president. It was awesome being able to meet him and get to know him and his family better. I know he's going to do great things for the mission and I'm really looking forward to it.

Anyway yeah things are good. I can't complain really. I'd love to hear from you guys.

Week 67: YEWSTIN

Hello all,

This week was great, had a couple exchanges the past few days which were great. Elder Pearsall and I are living the dream and loving every second of it. Got to do some come follow me with the skeens last night. They're awesome. Found a couple new people to teach which is always a plus, we're grateful. This week went by pretty quick, not to many highlights honestly. I'm just chillin. When you're serving the One True God(TM) it's hard not to be stay winning.

Welcome home Tom and Chris.

Godspeed

Week 66: Release the Kraken

Dear Brethren,

I got a new companion this week. His name is Elder Pearsall and he's from Malone, NY which is basically a suburb of Montreal, Quebec. He's a great guy and we have had a great time so far. We had zone conference yesterday and it was the last one with the McMurray's which was super sad but it's the circle of life I guess. Anyway, other than that it was pretty busy, we had a lot of member missionary work lessons and we're seeing that pick up a lot.

We had a stake breakfast at President Crane's house on saturday morning and he talked to us about setting specific goals and plans for helping the people that we're teaching progress toward baptism. It's always so cool to be with him because he carries such a powerful spirit and I always learn a lot.

Honestly that's pretty much the highlights so yeah.

Have a good week

Elder Thacker
